Our Operations team are expanding and are seeking a skilled Senior Account Manager, capable of applying commercial contractual practices across a portfolio of clients and accounts, whilst also leading a small team of Account Managers.

So, what will you be doing?
As part of your role, you will manage and report on the financial status of secured contracts - maximising profit margins and ensuring the delivery of payments. You will be commercially accountable for the management of a number of live contracts. You will also:

  • Adhere to a project plan, responding effectively to the needs of the business and of our clients;
  • Negotiate rates with external subcontractors;
  • Produce monthly reports on team performance and ensuring levels are within any agreed KPIs;
  • Prepare and submit valuations, variations and claims.

As a manger, you will be expected to develop the Account Managers through the administration of the business’ performance management framework (MBF), whilst providing technical and commercial expertise/support.

You will control day-today activities including, work allocation, holiday approvals, sickness reporting etc and be expected to respond effectively to the business and client needs, maintaining excellent customer service through regular client meetings and open communication channels.

The Person:
To be successful within this role you will have demonstrable experience in a previous commercial contracts environment, applying your knowledge of commercial contract methods and techniques, whilst managing a small team.  You will also have:

  • A focus on customer service, understanding the customer's impact within business, alongside an ability to build long-lasting relationships;
  • The ability to read and understand programmes to interpret into an accurate forecast.
  • The ability to critically analyse and evaluate with strong attention to detail.
  • A proven strong negotiating and interactive style.
  • Ability to work under pressure within a deadline driven environment. 
  • A supportive and learning approach towards people development.
