This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

This is a pivotal position within the Buying department ensuring operational efficiency within the warehouse, planning, coordinating and monitoring of materials & plant, both in and out. Working closely with the Buying team and other integral departments, your communication skills, ability to prioritise and deliver is essential. Stock levels are to be monitored, maintained and distributed to teams in a timely manner.

So what will you be doing?

This role will involves planning, coordinating and monitoring the receipt, order assembly and dispatch of goods, along with liaising with customers/teams, suppliers and transport companies. Other responsibilities include:

  • Line management responsibility of the Warehouse team
  • Accountable for keeping stock control systems up to date and making sure inventories are accurate
  • Overseeing the planned maintenance of machinery, vehicles and equipment – ensuring that plant or vehicles are stored correctly and safely ready for delivery or collection
  • On/Off loads of materials by use of forklift truck
  • Required to deliver & collect materials/plant to & from sites


The Person

The ideal candidate will have proven experience within a similar role with stock Control and Inventory knowledge and experience. You will also have:

  • Good communication skills with the ability to liaise at various levels
  • Line management experience
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety within a Warehouse Environment.
  • Knowledge of utilities materials and supplier base
  • Good IT skills including MS Excel
  • Ability to plan and forecast.
  • Ability to work within in a team, and equally on own initiative.
  • Confident with towing trailers
  • Ability to operate a forklift vehicle
  • Must hold a Forklift License
  • Full UK Driver’s License and towing license
